The National Museum of Natural History in Cuba, invites all interested in
astronomy to the last observation of the year, which will take
place on the evening of Friday December 30, said its organizers
today.
Admire the planet Jupiter and discover its four large satellites in
the telescope, see the seas and remarkable craters of the moon,
recognize the brightest stars in the constellations of the
winter sky are some of the most notable events in the evening of
that day.
There will also be a review of the most important astronomical
events as well as the most outstanding achievements in research
and astronautics occurred during the past year, says a note
sent by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment.
In addition the public can learn about events to come in 2012, but scientists
say there will be no exceptional planetary alignments, nor any danger that
science has the capacity to predict.
However, the last transit of Venus that can be observed by the
generations that now inhabit the blue planet will occur, concludes
the information, reported PL.
