Russian Training Ship Arrives in Cuba

The Russian training sailing ship Kruzenstern, from the Fishing Fleet of the Russian Federation, will be visiting Havana Port on Friday morning April 9. This visit is part of the activities organized by Russia on occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Cuba and Russia, and the 65th Anniversary of the victory over fascism.

During its stay in Cuba, the ship’s crew will follow a program of activities which includes courtesy visits to the head of the Cuban Revolutionary Navy and to the President of the People’s Power Assembly in Havana City; it will also put flowers in the mausoleum to the Soviet internationalist soldier and to our national hero Jose Marti in the Central Park.

The Russian vessel, which will stay in Cuba until Saturday, April 10, will be docked to the north of the Cruisers’ Terminal in Havana and will be opened to the public on Friday from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
